Acro Materials - Sponge

Closed Cell EPDM Sponge:

EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) closed cell sponge rubber material offers excellent resistance to ozone and oxidation.  It also provides good aging properties and compressibility. This material is used in a variety of outdoor applications such as weatherproofing or electrical enclosures.  Temperatures ranges: -51.1°C to 98.9°C  (–60° F to 210° F).

Closed Cell Neoprene Sponge:

This material offers provides good resistance to acids, gasoline, and oil. This material is well suited for long term outdoor applications such as electrical enclosures and weather stripping and has temperature operating ranges of -56.7°C to 93.3°C (-70° F to + 200° F).

Closed Cell Nitrile (Buna N):

Closed Cell Nitrile (Buna-N) is an excellent gasket material for applications that require fuel, oil and UV resistance. This material also performs well in petroleum-based applications. Temperature operating ranges of -37.2°C to 82.2°C (-35° F to + 180° F).

Closed Cell PVC:

Closed Cell PVC / Nitrile sponge combines superior absorbing properties and good chemical resistance. This material is designed for applications where temperatures can range between -40°C to 93.3°C (-40° F to + 200° F).

Closed Cell Blended Sponge Rubber (EPDM/SBR/Neoprene Blend):

Used as a general purpose sponge gasket that is resistant to ozone, sunlight, and oxidation. It offers temperature operating ranges of -40°C to 82.2°C (-40° F to + 180° F).

Natural Open Cell Sponge:

Natural open cell sponge is excellent for cushioning applications as well as applications that requires a skid resistant surface. This material does not take a compression set.  Temperature operating ranges from 4.4°C to 71.1°C  (40°F to 160°F).

Neoprene Open Cell Sponge:

This material has the same product  features as natural open cell sponge and performs well within petroleum-based applications.

Polyurethane Foam:

Polyurethane foam is an open cell flexible foam material.  It is economical, and ideal for applications such as; cushioning, dust, moisture sealing, thermal and acoustic insulation. This material is available with a PSA backing.

Microcellular Urethane Foam:

These foams offer an excellent compression set resistance and high resilience, providing a gasket seal that won't break down over extended use.  These characteristics allow this material to be used in a wide range of applications and will perform well under temperature operating ranges of    -40°C - 90°C (-40°F to 194°F)

Cross-Linked Polyethylene Foam:

Cross-linked Polyethylene Foam has good thermal insulating properties and excellent chemical resistant properties that make it suitable for a wide range of applications. Other characteristics include a smooth surface, excellent consistency, gauge control, high temperature resistance and low water absorption.
